Job Description

 

The Department of Psychological Sciences and the Psychological Services Clinic at the University of Missouri, seeks a part-time, enthusiastic, detail-oriented Office Support Assistant II to provide essential general office support to a community mental health and training clinic. The ideal candidate would possess, excellent guest relations for effectively meeting, greeting, and communicating with patients, providers, external and internal customers as well as peers. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a helpful, positive outlook on assisting faculty, staff, students and outside constituents. Position reports to the Business Operations Associate within the Clinic.

More specific duties include:

-          Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls, arriving patients, updating demographics, loading insurance, accepting payments, keying data entry, and forwarding messages to the appropriate provider. Effectively utilize all appropriate applications of the electronic medical system for maintenance of patient schedules.

-          Verifying and entering correct financial information related to fee assistance.

-          Greeting/providing information and assistance to office visitors or telephone calls in order to provide services/support to visitors using own knowledge of office policies/procedures.

-          Creates a positive and welcoming front office environment by greeting visitors, giving directions, answering questions via telephone, email or face-to-face

-          Provides general faculty and student support including photocopying, receiving and delivery of packages, parking passes, assisting with scheduling changes,

-          Assists with providing training and coordination for student workers.

-          Prepares, processes and maintains appropriate records, files, reports and information.

-          Completes other projects and duties as assigned.

Shift

 

Part-time position, 20 hours per week, shift times to be discussed

Minimum Qualifications

 

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

 

Prior experience in a health care setting, hospital admissions, registration, medical office, and use of medical terminology strongly preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office is preferred. 

Anticipated Hiring Range

 

Salary Range:$14.09 - $19.34
