MU Extension's Community Health program's goal is to achieve optimal health and well-being for every Missourian at every stage of life, with special recognition for the needs of vulnerable populations. The Community Health Field Specialist will provide a link between the community, health educators, health professionals, schools, local public health agencies and community organizations to assist implementing strategies to improve the health and well-being of individuals and the community.
The University of Missouri is seeking an exceptional individual to support leadership, faculty and staff to enhance the impact of the University in the lives of Missourians at every stage of life. This position provides day-to-day specialized business support, administrative, and fiscal operations for the Community Health Engagement & Outreach Unit and its affiliated faculty and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform administrative activities for Community Health Engagement & Outreach:
- Order office supplies from Show Me Shop
- Prepare and coordinate office mailings
- Update distribution lists and key contacts
- Update program documents and other office materials as directed
- Maintain office files as directed
- Manage and update the shared calendar and copy major CHEO events to central calendar as needed
- Review and coordinate the updating of affiliation agreements in accordance with university policy and director’s guidance
- Assist with ongoing data entry with guidance from internal accounting/business services consultant
- Provide Administrative Support to the following meetings:
- Take minutes with action items for CHEO staff meetings, and CHEO grant-funded project meetings as needed
- Schedule and cancel CHEO meetings with guidance from Education Director/Project Leads
- Send other meeting requests as assigned by Education Director
- Support Community Health Specialists with major events sponsored by CHEO and CHEO grant programs
- Provide support for logistics related to CHEO sponsored meetings, includes zoom and meeting room reservations, catering
- Prepare event materials – printing, photocopying, packet assembly when needed
- Assist Education Director and internal accounting team to provide high-level support in the processing, documentation and submission of contracts to the contract portal
- Assist Education Director with the processing of stipends/honorariums for appropriate personnel, guests and speakers
- Reconcile staff one card purchases and submit expense report(s) for approval
- Assist staff with submission of travel authorizations and travel logistics
- Make and monitor travel arrangements for all CHEO faculty/staff according to university rules in T & E system (pre-authorization of hotel)
- Process travel reimbursements for all CHEO faculty/staff
- Assist with the preparation of monthly reconciliation data for analysis
- Provide administrative support to Education Director for Community Health Engagement & Outreach when needed
